Fitting Leather seats to a 9000

I have bought a full set of Leather/Suede seats for my 9000 CS. Here I will briefly show, with photo's, how easy it is to remove and install the seats.

The original grey velour front seats

This is what the original grey velour seats looked like.

The side trim that needs to be removed from the front seat

This seat side panel has to be removed to access the bolt securing the seat belt to the seat base. The two holes you can see have Torx head screws in, and if you remove the centre cap of the recliner wheel, there is another torx head screw holding that in place.

Front seat rear mount

This shows one of the mounting points for the front seats, there are four, one in each corner. Again these are Torx head screws.

Picture showing the electrical connections below the front seat

This shows the seat electrical connection, one plug for seat belt warning and heated seats, ensure this is unplugged before trying to lift the seat out. Fitting is basically the reverse operation.

The front leather seats fitted

Here are the front leather seats fitted.

Now to remove the rear seats and fit the leather ones. These are even easier.

The bolts holding the rear squabs in.

Pull the squab forward and allow it to tilt fully. The circled bolt is one of four, another bolt the other side of the bar, and the same set up at the other end of the seat. Remove the four bolts and the seat squab will lift out.

If you tilt the back of the seat forward you will find these torx screws in the centre of the seats. Remove them plus the other securing screw at the other end underneath the cushion, and the seat back will be free.
